For The People Responsible For Buildings
Our focus is commercial and industrial steelwork for contractors, facilities managers, landlords, manufacturers, schools and commercial property teams. We cover enquiries for structural steel, sheet metal, general metal fabrication, bespoke assemblies, welding repairs and commercial access metalwork.
A useful enquiry starts with what the component needs to do. We ask about the location, intended use, drawings, dimensions and the responsibilities already in place. That makes it easier to discuss a defined scope with a suitable local firm.
A Clear Route To The Right Conversation
When you submit a project enquiry, we ask for your agreement before your details may be passed to a suitable local firm. That firm can discuss feasibility, survey needs, quotation and the practical requirements of the project with you. The enquiry itself does not create a fabrication order or establish a delivery programme.
Design, supply, finishing, delivery and installation should each have a clear owner. Discuss the relevant qualifications, product documentation, insurance and contract terms with the appointed firm before placing an order. We do not publish unverified credentials or project claims.
Standards Follow The Application
Structural steelwork needs the relevant execution specification, including BS EN 1090-2 where applicable. Product conformity requirements under BS EN 1090-1 depend on the component and its intended use. The appointed supplier should provide evidence appropriate to the package rather than rely on a general statement about standards.
Construction work needs coordination under CDM 2015. Welding requires appropriate fume controls under COSHH, and machinery-related components need their role in safe equipment use considered. For stairs and guarding, the building design and applicable Building Regulations requirements need to be resolved before fabrication.
